What We Believe

Our Team

Pastor Mike Mizell, Lead Pastor

Pastor Mike and Sheila Mizell have been Senior/Lead Pastor since 1993. They were married in 1986. They have two children, a daughter Rebekah who serves in ministry and a son, Dakota, who is in the U.S. Air Force. Under Pastor Mike’s leadership, Bethel Temple has experienced tremendous growth with people coming from all walks of life and denominational handles. Pastor Mike’s passion is to see the body of Christ united as the family of God; a place where everyone is someone and has something to contribute. Outreach and missions are huge components that drive his vision and leadership. Under his leadership, sermons and teachings are solidly biblical and transformational; outreach is priority and services are designed to be engaging and uplifting. Pastor Mike has a heart for people and is approachable on all levels. Pastor Mike states, “Bethel Temple truly has a place for you!”

Pastor Brent Shields, Executive Pastor for Worship & Arts

Pastor Brent started in ministry in December of 1989 as a Youth Pastor and spent 8 years in youth ministry.  He became the Music Pastor at Bethel Temple in October of 1998 and currently serves as the Executive Pastor for Worship and Arts, overseeing the music ministry as well as drama, creative arts and media ministries.

He studied Criminal Justice at Tarleton State University.

Pastor Brent married his wife, Rachael, in 1999.  They have 3 kids.  Landry was born in December of 2004, Makenna in April of 2006 and Maddox in January of 2008.

In his spare time, he enjoys helping with the kids’ sports and school activities and just spending time with his family, especially in the boat on a lake anywhere.

His goal in ministry is for Bethel’s team to foster an environment where the Holy Spirit is free to move as He sees fit, to be effective for the Kingdom and not just polished musicians and vocalists.  His heart is to see the old and the young, the new believer and the seasoned saint experience the presence of a Holy God each time we gather and watch how He becomes exactly what each one needs no matter what walk of life they come from.  He counts it a high honor to be able to lead God’s people into His presence each week.

Pastor Collin McKnight, Student Ministries Pastor

Pastor Collin McKnight has been in ministry since 2011. He and his wife, Alicia, have served through Texas in Lubbock, Wichita Falls, Austin and now here in Cleburne. Pastor Collin attended Evangel University in Springfield, MO, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree majoring in Intercultural Studies and minoring in Biblical studies.

Pastor Collin met his wife in high school and married her in July of 2009. They have three boys together, Nate (2012), Levi (2013), and Luke (2016).

Hobbies: Pastor Collin enjoys spending time with his family, taking Alicia out on dates, reading, spending time outdoors, working out, walking the dog, and cycling.

Ministry Goals: Pastor Collin and Alicia want to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached to all the world according to Matthew 28:18-20, and they want to encourage a young generation of students to be the catalyst that will accomplish this. They also want to see their children grow up loving Jesus and walking in a true relationship with him.

Pastor Stephanie Rhea, Outreach and Assimilation Pastor

Pastor Stephanie Rhea has held the position of Bethel Temple’s Outreach and Assimilation Pastor since May 2019. She has a heart, and a passion, for reaching the lost, unchurched people in the Cleburne community and beyond. Pastor Stephanie has a drive to motivate the Church into action through outreach opportunities that are centered around the two greatest commandments; loving God and loving our neighbors according to Matthew 22:36-40.

Pastor Stephanie attends Bethel Temple with her husband, Jason, and their three boys, Robert, Cory, and Jase. Pastor Stephanie joined Bethel Temple in 1997, where she met Jason the following year while both were serving in Youth Ministry. They have been happily married since 2002.

Pastor Stephanie attended Christ for the Nations Bible College and graduated with an Associates in Practical Theology. She has been a licensed Assemblies of God minister since 2005. Since graduating high school in 1997 and moving from her hometown in Wisconsin to Texas, Pastor Stephanie has been involved in various areas of ministry in a variety of churches across Cleburne, Texas.

Pastor Stephanie is about her Father’s business. She dives headfirst into the Lord’s work, isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, and puts her whole heart into her ministry. She is a willing and obedient servant to the Lord, and she has a true gift in helping others live their lives as devoted followers to our Savior, Jesus.

You can make a donation to Bethel Temple. All gifts will be recorded and processed on an annual giving statement provided at the end of the year by Bethel Cleburne.
